John Shegda

CTO of KMM Group

John Shegda is co-founder and chief technology officer of KMM Group, having recently transitioned from his role as CEO to focus on manufacturing innovation and the continued development of the company’s technical capabilities. With nearly four decades of hands-on manufacturing experience, he brings an operator’s perspective to the challenges facing today’s medical device supply chain. Shegda began his career in his family’s grinding business, where he learned firsthand how technical decisions, operational discipline, and supplier responsiveness affect customer success. He later helped guide the integration of three specialized manufacturing companies into KMM Group, a boutique contract manufacturing organization offering precision machining, grinding, engineering support, and scalable production under one roof. His experience gives him a practical perspective on supplier consolidation, capacity planning, risk mitigation, workforce development, and moving complex components from development through sustained production. An active industry mentor and regional manufacturing leader, Shegda believes resilient supply chains are built through technical depth, transparent customer-supplier relationships, continuous investment in people, and a shared commitment to solving difficult problems.
